Aircraft Simulator Training instructor Rick McGuire shows how we start our twin engine Cessna 340 – and there is no such thing as “hot starts” in our aircraft – it’s First Time – Every Time.
In the video, Rick shows a student the basic procedure of starting a twin Cessna Continental engine in the aircraft. This works for the straight 520 and in the 421C aircraft EXCEPT you start the 421C geared engines AT AN IDLE. If you take the AST course we will tell you why the 421 geared engines must be started at idle.
Whether training in an actual aircraft or our full-motion simulator, at Aircraft Simulator Training you’ll receive this level of detailed flight instruction that will make you a safe and confident pilot flying twin engine piston or turboprop aircraft.
